太平山急凍霧淞美景 漫步銀白世界｜Early morning light reveals frosty landscape in Yilan Taipingshan
近期強烈寒流來襲，宜蘭太平山國家森林遊樂區週二清晨，氣溫約零下2度，海拔高度約1,878公尺的山毛櫸步道樹枝結起點點白霜，出現霧淞美景。見晴古道在2月18日上午則下起冰霰，宛若成為童話故事場景。
As temperatures continue to drop, parts of the Taipingshan National Forest Recreation Area in Yilanwere shrouded in a beautiful layer of frostwhich usually forms when the fog freezes to the windward side of tree branches.
Jianqing Huaigu Trail, in particular, drew many visitors who enjoyed the beautiful scenery on 18.Feburary morning.

臺灣急凍！嘉明湖白雪蓋山頭 宛如童話世界｜Snowscapes of high mountains captured across Taiwan
冷氣團發威，自1月27日以來，各地超過3,000公尺的高山接連下雪，包括玉山、嘉明湖、合歡山、北大武山都白了頭，許多民眾趁著假期上山賞雪，一片銀白世界美不勝收，猶如童話世界。
As local temperatures continue to drop, Taiwan mountains higher than 3,000 meters have seen their tops covered with thin layers of snow, including Yushan, Chiaming Lake, Hehuanshan and Taimu Mountain. The dream-like snowscapes are seen on pictures shared by hikers.

台灣版萬里長城 「報時山」眺望陰陽海絕美景致｜New Taipei Baoshishan Lookout overlooks scenic sea view
新北市瑞芳區的「報時山」步道，步道長度不長，是北部郊區熱門的打卡景點，適合全家大小出遊。從棧道入口處爬上階梯只需幾分鐘就會看到朝日亭。右手邊可以看到近爆紅的「天間車遺址」隱藏在草叢中，有如廢墟般的外表多了一種神秘感。天間車遺址後方就是隱藏版秘境「六坑斜坡索道」，45度的運礦鐵道相當震撼，且陰陽海就在正下方，絕妙的角度吸引不少攝影族來此拍照。

Located in Ruifang District, Baoshishan Lookout is an excellent attraction for families during the holidays. It takes roughly five minutes to walk to the main observation deck.

山友破紀錄 僅17天完成疾走中央山脈｜Mountaineers complete 340 km-long central mountain range in 17 days, set new record
貫穿台灣全島，擁有台灣屋脊之稱的「中央山脈」，北起宜蘭蘇澳烏岩角，南抵屏東鵝鑾鼻，全長約340公里。中央山脈大縱走路線則是由北一段起點南湖大山勝光登山口，至最後一座百岳卑南主山後，從高雄藤枝森林遊樂區出來。途中經過「死亡稜線」和無數斷崖，是一條非常具有挑戰性的登山路線。兩名山友共耗時十七天完成這趟中央山脈大縱走，打破完成縱走時間紀錄。
The Central Mountain Range, often dubbed the rooftop of Taiwan, runs from northeast Su’ao Wuyanjiao in Yilan to the southeast Pingtung Eluanbi Lighthouse, stretching 340 km in full length. The route along the central range includes 69 of Taiwan’s 100 peaks. Among the countless mountains, the highest peak of the journey is Xiuguluan Mountain which has an elevation of 3,825 m.

兼具自然與人文資源特色的歷史道路：能高越嶺道
從南投縣仁愛鄉通過台灣中央山脈中段奇萊連峰與能高連峰，至花蓮縣秀林鄉銅門村。步道平行塔羅灣溪蜿蜒於連綿群峰中，全線約90％的步道穿越「丹大野生動物重要棲息環境」。曾是賽德克族行獵往來的社路、日治時期的警備交通要道，光復至今的台電高壓輸電保線路。其亞熱帶的高山草原景觀、中央山脈的雄奇山景、巨木蒼勁的原始森林、斷崖峭壁上的飛瀑流泉、崩崖峽谷、山巔深壑、清靈秀氣的奇萊天池等景四季分明的高山景致，自日治時期即是非常受歡迎的登山健行路線。

終年雲霧繚繞「北插天山」 賞遊威嚇巨木
北插天山是雪山山脈北段著名的中級山，又稱為塔開山。山如其名，高聳入天，溫帶氣候的山林，孕育著無數令人嘆為觀止的神木，也造就出大片山毛櫸純林。山形峻峭挺拔，又因為地處雲務帶，每當山嵐湧起，如一倒插天際的樣貌，得名「插天山」。

谷關七雄之一「白毛山」
白毛山位於大甲溪南岸，屬於谷關七雄中的老六。白毛山以闊葉次生林為主，及大面積的柳杉造林地，濃密的植被吸引許多大型哺乳動物和鳥類來此覓食。走在步道中，猶如漫步於優美林相的山徑之中，林木翠綠、枝葉茂密，但山徑陡峭，沿途有幾處展望點。三角點前的崩塌地設有護欄，可俯瞰大甲溪及綿延不絕的稜脈。

山林大解禁 開放81條林道健行｜Taiwan to boost mountain tourism, open 81 trails
行政院於2019年9月30日宣布，未來將推動「山林大解禁」。重新整建35座山屋、明年底前整修全台78條山區步道與告示牌、推出「一站式服務網站」簡化登山申請流程、改善山區通訊品質、農委會林務局所管轄的全台八十一條林道將開放登山客健行。
The Cabinet (Executive Yuan) announced on Sept. 30 its plans to lift the restrictions on hiking to boost mountain tourism. New regulations will be implemented as well, including the renovation of 35 cabins in the mountains, the restoration of 78 trails and the installation of signs along the paths, the simplification of the application process, the improvement of signal strengths and the opening of up to 81 trails to the public.
