國立故宮博物院今年舉辦第八屆國寶衍生商品設計競賽，平面藝術設計組大獎由國立臺灣藝術大學視覺傳達設計系學生所設計的「墨戲仙草」拿下。
The “Ink-painting Jelly,” a product designed by students from the National Taiwan University of Arts, recently received the National Palace Museum Award in the National Treasure Merchandise Design Competition.

日本設計師Holoko和英國工程師Rob攜手創作出100個代表台灣的文字圖標（Taiwan Icon Font)，提供免費下載，期望透過台味十足的圖標，讓世界知道台灣的魅力，吸引更多人來台觀光旅遊。
Holoko and Rob, a Japanese designer and a British programmer, recently joined hands to design a hundred Taiwan-themed icons font in hopes of introducing local tourism attractions and attracting more tourists to Taiwan.

TRIAD, a Japanese company known for its creative memo pads hiding 3D shapes, recently launched a memo pad that boasts a mini version of an art museum in southern Taiwan — the Chimei Museum.

等垃圾車不無聊！新北限定「垃圾話」環保袋超有看頭｜Let’s have a ‘Trashed Talk’ — New Taipei launches limited design bin bags
等待垃圾車已成為台灣人生活中的一部分。大家等待垃圾車的這段時間大多數都低頭滑著手機，為了對抗科技冷漠，增添人與人之間的對話、生活趣味性，四位台藝大學生與新北市政府合作推出「垃圾話」環保兩用袋。
The garbage truck collection system is part of Taiwan people’s daily lives. While waiting for the garbage trucks, most people would use their phones instead of talking to their neighbors. With this observation in mind, a team consisting of four students from the National Taiwan University of Arts (NTUA) created a series of reusable bin bags, nicknamed “Trashed Talk,” in a joint collaboration with the Environmental Protection Bureau (EPB) of New Taipei.

Matsu Islands, an archipelago of 36 islands and islets in the East China Sea officially named Lienchiang County (連江縣), is the smallest, yet most creative administrative region in Taiwan. Dongyin Township, its northernmost island, recently kickstarted an art project that features newly designed door plates boasting the unique “Dongyin” color.

台灣最美巴士:北花線回遊號 融入花蓮山水意象 乘車舒適度大增| Gorgeous Taipei-Hualien bus service offers world-class design
隨著蘇花於1月6日開通後，台北到花蓮車程省下近一小時。除了搭乘火車，往返台北-花蓮交通又多了一個新選擇！由交通部和經濟部共同成立的公共運輸新品牌「北花線-回遊號」，創新客運內外車體設計，成為「全台最美巴士」。
The first direct bus service between Greater Taipei and Hualien kicked off on Jan. 6, to coincide with the opening of the newly upgraded Suhua Highway that reduces travel time by nearly one hour. “TPE-HUN Shuttle Bus：Hui-yu,” a collaboration of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications and the Ministry of Economic Affairs, has already been nicknamed the most beautiful bus service in Taiwan because of its sleek design.
